Between Filitosa and Propriano is a typical Corsican village clinging to the mountain. It has preserved a personality which you will discover while wandering the steep alleyways, with their stone houses and tile roofs.
Places to visit: the Baracci baths, ancient Roman thermal hot water and sulfurous baths, the old Capucins convent, the Église Sainte-Hélène church built in the ninth century.
Also of interest: the house where Colomba Carabelli, the famous heroine of the novel by Prosper Mérimée, died.
Olmeto is also home to a succession of heavenly beaches and creeks, which extend between Propriano and Porto Pollo.
