Located just 15 miles from ArcoPlage, your villa rental in Corsica, and 9 miles from Propriano, Sartène is a traditional Corsican city, overlooking the slopes of Monte Rosso and the Gulf of Valinco. Prosper Mérimée called it “the most Corsican of Corsican towns,” and it has retained its character and charm: its tall, grey granite buildings, its narrow streets, and its traditions. Among these traditions, the annual Good Friday Catenacciu is a procession in which the chained and hooded “red penitent,” whose identity is kept hidden, carries the cross through the streets of Sartène.
Our villas in Olmeto are located near Propriano, a small fishing village that has grown to offer a variety of destinations, such as restaurants and cafés, both at the port and in the downtown area. It is the perfect place for an afternoon stroll or an after-dinner drink in the mild evening air.
The Propriano farmers’ market is held on Quai Saint Erasme on Sundays during the summer, offering the finest specialties from Corsican producers. Fruits and vegetables are on offer, of course, but so are honey, AOC-label wines, sheep and goat cheeses, jams and jellies, and pastries (canistrelli, ambrucciata, fiadone, etc.). These mouth-watering products present the opportunity to explore the local cuisine. Feel free to pick up some provisions to enjoy back home at your house in Corsica; all our villas and duplexes include a fully equipped kitchen.
There is no shortage of heavenly beaches in Corsica! Just down the road from our complex overlooking the Mediterranean, you’ll be able to cool off and enjoy the pleasures of swimming in the sea, in a cove with crystal-clear water.

When you view Corsica from the sea, you witness a whole other side to Corsica: its coves, its rocky inlets, and its astounding sea beds. Many sea excursions set off from Propriano, not far from your Corsican rental house, by catamaran or by speedboat.
If you’re interested in taking a boat ride, you are sure to have a memorable experience viewing the magnificent seaside landscapes. You’ll be sailing on turquoise waters inhabited by remarkable fish. It’s not uncommon to encounter our dolphin friends swimming in the Gulf of Valinco, so keep your eyes peeled!
